in-house professional development helps to build a strong leadership base through out the school
Not all leaders are really leaders. In this talk, parental environment, emotion, and the effect of educational leaders are examined and explained with their correlation to leadership. Are you a leader?
678 It occurred to me that most people who write about leadership are no longer leaders. Easy for them to espouse their Monday morning philosophy-harder for the leaders under fire to take " former leader" direction. I just read an article in a business magazine written by a well-known "former leader." I was horrified. One of the "key" points was that "clarity is the antidote of anxiety"; therefore "clarity" is the main concern of the effective leader. What a bunch of baloney. If you're a leader, and clarity is your main concern, nothing much is going on. To me, leadership is multifaceted. There is no "one" concern more powerful than the other. Lead by example, loyalty of team, achievement of goals, profit to company, excellence of performance, great communication skills, and fulfillment...
Amy Richards is an activist, feminist, and author. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

http://www.theleadernextdoor.com I'm taking a leadership course as part of a doctoral program at FAU. This video is based on a definition of leadership from the text book. The author is Peter G. Northouse. The definitions says, "Leadership is a process whereby an individual influences a group of individuals to achieve a common goal."
The problem is that leadership is rarely understood. This lack of understanding and misunderstanding especially by those at the top have caused major problems. The world has been dangerously dehumanised to unprecedented levels through the insatiable greed for profits. People at the top must understand that people come first not the numbers. Bad leadership has contributed to vastly bad and inhumane environments for people. Employees are being treated like disposable assets and customers are being tricked and manipulated every day. Blaming everything except the leaders has exacerbated the problem not only at the business level but globally. Bad leadership is striking everywhere in every industry and country. For employees, the corporate environments are unsafe, stressful, unjoyful, unfulfi...
